liver detox dietA liver detox should be done yearly to give our livers a good ‘spring clean’ and is best done in the warmer months when lots of fresh fruit and veggies are in season. Follow the guidelines below and remember to have lots of variety so you don’t get bored and to ensure that you are covering all the food groups and are getting all the maximum nutrients necessary from your diet.
Follow for at least one month as this is how long it takes to purify the bloodstream so that all the cells in the body will receive fresh, clean blood for optimal function.
Remember, If you do a detox in the winter months there is a chance that you may get sick as your immune system will be challenged so spring or summer are the best months.
